a new kind of commute

Most morning commutes that I hear about are less than enjoyable. A few mornings ago, this was mine.

I know, I know, I just can't believe the cloud traffic up here, seriously a downer....except not even a little. I got to stand in the cockpit and see this amazing view, this incredibly unreal moment before me. It was very surreal to be standing somewhere, seeing so much beauty and just taking a moment to realize just how amazingly big this world is. And how small the section of 'our world' is.

Tunnel vision in life is so easy to obtain. To think that our little corner of the world is the only one that matters, or maybe it's just the only one that we can be a part of or make a difference in. But the truth is, the world has so much to offer in ways we can't imagine. Something that is easy to say, but not always easy to experience.

For me the last few months has been eye opening to how tunneled my vision was...how simple minded I was being, and how closed minded I was to offers around me to expand my corner of the world.

For now, I will be trying to take regular moments in my day to view the world in different aspects than the ones that are familiar to me; grasping moments and opportunities that are unique!
